Mexico, day 4

22 Jun

Our second (and last) game of the first round was against RoboCanes.
The match can be seen here:

The game ended in 0:0, but in the penalties (which also ended in 0:0) we had the shot closest to the goal, so we became second in the first round. This means that we’ll play against the Portuguese Team in the intermediate round that decides who will go through to the second round.

The intermediate round decides who goes through to the second round. Our match against the Portuguese Team is below:

The match ended in 1:1 so we had penalties again and this time we lost with 1:2. This meant the end of the tournament for us.

Day 8 @ Istanbul

11 Jul

For most of us this was the last day in Istanbul, so we spent it exploring the city. The past week we had barely seen the city, because we were busy with the Robocup from the morning to the late hours of the night.

Since pictures say more than words, here are some pictures:

We went to Asia and back:

Day 7 @ Istanbul

10 Jul

Today was the day of the finals. We played our little friendly match against MRL and after that we watched the games of other teams and leagues. BHuman won the Standard Platfom League final against Nao Devils impressively with 10 to 1.

Unfortunately we couldn’t watch the final of the Mid Sized League with a Dutch team in it, since we had to collect all our things because the hall was going to be closed.

In the evening there was a banquet in the main hall and after that we were on our way to the “secret” unofficial SPL party. We had a map with a marked spot, but when we arrived there we couldn’t find the place. In the end we held our own party with Nao Team Humboldt and a couple of other people.
